  1. A couple questions on this photo….(1) are you using wax paper over your newly laid fiberglass to contour the fiberglass into the pocket? (2) is wax paper okay to use in this application? (3) I see a small space heater in this photo and in others…what’s the temperature of the room while you’re laying down the glass/epoxy?

    • 1. No, that’s peel ply.
      2. No, no need for wax paper here… I used wax paper for a release medium early on in my build, but technically not good to use since the wax can release into the layup and weaken the bond.
      3. Temp depends on epoxy. I have primarily used MGS epoxy, which will still wet out down to about 65 deg. F. This pic was taken in Germany, so I’d guess the room was probably high 50s to mid-60s. I prefer to keep the shop temps in the high 60s to mid-70s for MGS. I used space heaters a lot over in Germany because heating the entire shop space to temp was simply not an option.
