Do you apply duct tape to the bottom of the canard before gluing to the K-jigs? Or just bond the foam directly to the K-jigs? When removing the canard from the K-jigs, won’t this damage the foam on the bottom?
Sorry, don’t know if I answered you on this or not. Life’s been crazy over the past month and a half! No, I did not apply duct tape to the bottom of the canard IIRC. Yes, small plugs of foam will get pulled out/off the canard, but a bit of thick micro can take care of this. You could probably use duct or aluminum tape as long as you can ensure it will grip the canard foam well. A bit of surface foam micro patching is preferred here versus having a loosely mounted canard that may not be straight.

Hi Jeff,
Sorry, don’t know if I answered you on this or not. Life’s been crazy over the past month and a half! No, I did not apply duct tape to the bottom of the canard IIRC. Hope this helps!
Cheers,
Wade
